Luke returns to his home at Howling Cliffs, only to find it in flames as Erratic crazily sets things alight and tortures the people. Hurriedly, Luke grabs his belongings and runs, travelling far enough to pass by Lushciv, where he hesitates momentarily. Resolving to continue on as opposed to reopening a door to the past, he eventually finds himself unable to walk further. His legs give out from under him, and the episode ends with him unconscious in the snow with no shelter in sight.
